The man likes to withhold his identity, because he is terrified by the violence in the street. “Something happens sometimes in Gestel and Blaarthem here, but I have never experienced this before. This makes me feel unsafe.”

While he was walking along Schumannstraat to Berliozlaan that evening, he suddenly sees a silver-colored car approaching. “Five men immediately jumped out and walked straight to a corner house in the street. A group of people also walked out of that house and immediately started fighting with each other. No discussion or nothing, no immediate fighting. “

“As long as they live here, there will be noise pollution and arguments.”

He immediately calls the emergency services, because he sees how things are escalating. To his relief, the police soon arrive. In the end they arrived with several cars. “While the police were there, the fight continued as usual. Truly unprecedented.”

The man remained at a safe distance. “How those people got out of that car… it happened with so much bravado and violence. I could do no more than call 112. I even thought there was a shot, but it turned out to be the windows of the car they broke.” hit.”

He did not see any weapons being used, but he did see a young man pass by with a bloody arm. He estimates the men between 20 and 25 years old.

“I have often been afraid that something would go wrong, what is the next step?”

One of the children is said to be a young girl, a toddler. “These people have lived here for about eight years and there has been nuisance for as long as they have lived here. There is always arguing and noise pollution.”

People from the neighborhood have already made several reports to the police and to Woonbedrijf. “I don’t feel safe on this street, I have often been afraid that things would go wrong. What is the next step?”
