Naci Ünüvar will immediately return to Ajax, the Amsterdam club reports on its own website. The talent from Zaandam was rented out to the Turkish Trabzonspor, but Ünüvar is now returning to the Netherlands earlier due to an injury.
Ünüvar was rented out for one season this summer to the current number seven of the Turkish Süper Lig. The 19-year-old midfielder played a total of 258 minutes in the Turkish league. Ünüvar gave one assist and also scored once. In addition, he was allowed to come on twice in the Europa League and he also participated twice in the Turkish cup tournament. In that tournament, Ünüvar scored two goals.
Due to an injury, the creative midfielder will not play this season and will therefore return to Ajax prematurely. The Amsterdam club does not disclose which injury Ünüvar has sustained in Turkey
