Anonymous reports about the mining of all aircraft of the Russian airline Smartavia turned out to be false, RBC was told in the press service of the airline.

The interlocutor of RBC explained that the message about the “mining” of all aircraft was received by the airline on the evening of January 14. After that, the operational services of the carrier turned to law enforcement agencies.

“Additional thorough screening of passengers, hand luggage, baggage, cargo and mail was carried out at all destination airports. As a result of the measures taken, no suspicious items posing a threat to passengers and aircraft were found,” Smartavia said.

The next day, the airline received another message saying that another explosive device was on board the plane en route from St. Petersburg to Samara. Despite this, the liner landed at the destination airport on schedule.
