United Volleys Frankfurt and SWD powervolleys Düren advanced early to the playoff semi-finals of the volleyball league.
Frankfurt won 3-1 (25:23, 22:25, 26:24, 25:23) at cup finalists SVG Lüneburg on Thursday and won the best-of-three series with the second win. Düren made it into the semifinals with a 3:1 (25:15, 18:25, 25:15, 25:14) at Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee.
Champion Berlin Recycling Volleys was the first team to qualify for the semifinals. The last ticket is made by record champions VFB Friedrichshafen and WWK Volleys Herrsching.
