In the new season of the Eredivisie there will be no fewer than three handball clubs from the north of our province. With national champion VZV, vice champion SEW and PhD student Zap, there is no area in the Netherlands as well represented as this region. “It lives a lot in the villages here. Everyone look at it.”
The Noord-Holland villages’ t Veld (VZV), Nibbixwoud (SEW) and Breezand (ZAP) therefore all three of all three Eredivisieclub. “In our area, the boys go on football and the girls go on handball. Then it’s just going!”, Says Linda Klaver of VZV.
Due to the promotion of ZAP, the first in the history of the club, there are more North Holland entrepreneurs on the program this season. “Those are the competitions of the region. We are really looking forward to that,” says Zap trainer Stefan Baars.
“Many spectators. The fans of the opponents come. And that brings more atmosphere to the hall,” says SEW player Melissa van Velzen about the mutual encounters.
