When the Union pros leave the dressing room in the Dortmund stadium shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and run down the stairs towards the pitch, everyone will swear to be awake from the start. That’s where it went wrong in the end.
Above all, coach Urs Fischer (57) has to find the right words. The Swiss on the problems in the first half: “It’s a phase that has to be overcome. We try that in every game. But that doesn’t always work out.” In the last few weeks, that hasn’t been the case…
Caution! BVB scored 27 goals before the break this season – only FC Bayern (50 goals) scored more!
Union will only be able to take something from Dortmund for the first time if the defense is awake from the start.
