Berlin (AP) – Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Union Berlin will play against 1. FC Köln for the first time in months on Friday (8.30 p.m. / DAZN) in a full stadium.
After a lottery procedure for Union members and the sale of a remaining ticket contingent, there were no more free seats available, the club said. All 22,012 tickets have been allocated.
Many corona measures will expire in Berlin on March 31, including the spectator restrictions at major events. In the 2-0 derby win against Hertha BSC on November 20 last year, Union was able to fully utilize its stadium for the last time.
Season ticket holders who cannot be there on Friday evening now have the opportunity to make their place available on the secondary ticket market, the association said.
