For years, the municipality had the ambition to turn the farm into a residential care center for people with complex problems. But the neighborhood wanted to retain the catering function. In addition, the Technical Advisory Committee on Main Green Structure (TAC) indicated that the location was not suitable.
The councilor then promised to continue looking for an alternative. And that now seems to have been found: Landgenoegen Farm at Abcouderstraatweg 79, also in Zuidoost.

However, the alderman is still keeping an eye on things. The exchange is complicated and therefore uncertain. “The investigation into the exchange will take at least several months. If the investigation shows that the exchange will not take place, the residential care facility will still be located in the Langerlust farm.”
