Arrives on loan from Athletic Bilbao with a purchase clause at the end of the 23-24 campaign
The center-back, 25 years old and 1.86 meters tall, has already accumulated a total of 116 games in the First Division
Defender Unai Núñez became Celta de Vigo’s fourth signing this Wednesday, arriving on loan from Athletic Club and with whom he signs a contract for the 2022-23 season.
However, the Galician entity indicates that the transfer may be extended for the 2023-24 season and, in the event that this happens, there will be a mandatory purchase clause for Celtic.
The center-back, 25 years old and 1.86 meters tall, has already accumulated 116 games in the First Division and a total of 143 with the Bilbao team in different competitions.
“Unai returns, in some way, to his origins, since his father, Abel, a Galician emigrant born in Taboada (Lugo), was a prominent central defender for Barakaldo in the early 1990s”, highlights Celta, who define their new player as “a solvent, solid defender with great ball control”.
