Florian Wirtz is a top performer at Bayer Leverkusen. But other clubs would also like to have it with him – especially the German record champion.
The Treaty of Florian Wirtz near Bayer Leverkusen is still running until 2027. But the 21-year-old is courted. It has long been known that FC Bayern is interested in the Leverkusen star. Already in February, Uli Hoeneß spoke about it in an interview with T-Online (you can read more about this here). Now “Sport Bild” and Sky unanimously report that there is said to have been a meeting between the honorary president of the Munich and the father of Wirtz.
According to “Sport Bild”, this took place at Tegernsee. The time is apparently said to have been at the beginning of March as part of the Champions League first leg between FC Bayern and Leverkusen (3-0). According to Sky, Hoeneß is said to have a leading role in talks with Hans-Joachim Wirtz. The father of the offensive midfielder advises his son.
Sky also reports that Karl-Heinz Rummenigge should also be involved. He probably accompanies the process as well. Hoeneß said to T-Online in February in relation to Wirtz: “He is certainly a player that we shouldn’t take a look. You can still dream. If I can have a dream, I would say that Florian Wirtz has to go to FC Bayern. But that’s just my private opinion.”
However, Bayer Leverkusen doesn’t just want to let his international. According to “Sport Bild”, the Bundesliga club with Florian Wirtz would like to extend by at least one year. Accordingly, Wirtz has had an offer from Leverkusen for weeks. In addition, there are also said to have been discussed with the Bayer managers around Boss Fernando Carro and Simon Rolfes talks with the parents of Wirtz.
According to this, Bayer wants to have a decision by the player until the end of the season in order to be able to plan for the coming season in peace. Bayer therefore wants at least 150 million euros if joke should leave the club. The player himself has clubs in his head where he could imagine a change.
