THEOn the first day of the war, awakened by the deafening and powerful sounds of bomb blasts, a Ukrainian woman took a blue pen and on the body of his two-year-old daughter he wrote name, surname, date of birth and the phone numbers of mom and dad. “In case something happened to us and in case someone found her as a survivor,” she explained.
The horror of the war in Ukraine
And if in all probability the little girl did not understand the meaning of that written, unknowingly on her it already bears the signs of the horror of war and its atrocities. The image of the little girl and her story were shared by the same mother with a post on Instagram, in which the woman explains the reasons for that writing, but above all the reasons that led her to show it to the world.
The writing on her daughter’s back to make her recognize
“I spent five minutes thinking about whether or not to publish this photo. Thoughts and feelings piled up, but I didn’t have the strength to share them. But in the end I was convinced: it is necessary to talk. First of all, to myself. But how bad it hurts to go through the photo gallery and see those pictures of the wonderful life we had, ”explained the woman.
That photo was taken on February 24th, the first day of what Russian President Putin called the “special military operation” in Ukraine.

“My hands were shaking that morning,” explains Mom. “But why am I telling you? I was shaking just like all of you that you already know what it means to wake up with the deafening and powerful sounds of explosions heard from tens of kilometers… ». And it’s that fear of dyingto remain buried under the rubble, the terror that the little girl is left alone without anyone knowing who she is which leads her to write the data on her for it to be recognized.
The war in Ukraine, between tragedy and solidarity
After the attention aroused by the newspaper article, the woman, again through social media, wanted to reassure all those who had followed her story that at the time the whole family is fine, they all managed to escape together and are now in the South of France.
“We were welcomed by volunteers, they provided us with accommodation and we were fully assisted”. And thanks all those who wrote to her offering assistance: «I have received dozens of messages. I am so touched. I can’t understand how in our world there can be so much good and evil at the same time that has invaded our cities “
