UFOs in Latin America | News

★★★ This new original series from the History channel, co-produced with Betaplus, investigates the UFO phenomenon in Latin America at the hands of Mexican ufologist Jaime Maussan and his personal archive with more than three decades of exploration. In a renewed and dynamic format, the specialist and other experts, supported by the most modern technologies, in each chapter offer new hypotheses and discoveries about the most controversial topics in ufology and try to provide answers to questions that, to this day, they are still valid. Thus, they expose overwhelming evidence about different cases, inexplicable phenomena, and large conspiracies that involve covert facts, silenced witnesses, and even destroyed evidence.

Among them is the Campeche case, when in 2004 the Mexican government surprised the entire world by revealing images captured by its air force in which mysterious objects appeared that crossed the sky of the southern state of the same name, over the Gulf of Mexico. The military plane sighted the UFOs when it was carrying out an inspection flight, with which it tried to detect the possible entry into Mexican airspace of aircraft with drug shipments. In black and white, captured with infrared cameras, luminous and circular elements can be seen making sharp turns and at high speed. In the video then broadcast on television, the surprise of the pilots who detected the anomaly and the dialogue they had about it was also recorded. However, years later, the investigation took another turn when linked to the declassified files of the Pentagon.

Another topic is those messages coming from space and the signals that define an extraterrestrial communication attempt; theory that professionals have been working on for years. Added to this is the display of strange appearances of possible ships observed from the International Space Station, the declassification of secret CIA files regarding unidentified objects, as well as hundreds and thousands of records of people around the planet, including photographs and filming. , who have managed to capture images not only of this type, but of crew members.

In addition, the series elaborates on specific facts about potential places or areas for these phenomena, such as the Baja California region, between Tijuana, San Diego and the island of Guadalupe, designated as a hot spot for the UFO phenomenon; or the sightings on the active Popocatépetl volcano, in Mexico; and even triangular structures like pyramids in the sky that have been seen hovering over government buildings.
