An association from Montenegro was suspected of the game manipulation. Now the UEFA blocked him from the European Cup and imposed a fine.

Hard punishment for the Montenegrin first division club Arsenal Tivat: The club was excluded from all European competitions by UEFA for ten years. The reason is a suspicion of manipulation in connection with the Conference League qualification in the 2023/24 season. This was confirmed by the European Football Association after an investigation by the disciplinary commission.

Specifically, it is about the game against the Armenian representative Alashkert, in which according to UEFA, references to game manipulation were found. The European Association sees the integrity of the competition as clearly injured.

In July, Tivat lost 1: 6 against Alashkert in the second leg of the Conference League qualification. This game was under the observation, because at the end of the first half, there were probably high operations for at least two goals in the first round at the end of the first half, although it was still 0: 0 in the 35th minute. The first goal then fell in the 40th minute, the second in added time of the first half.

In addition to the lock up to and including the 2034/35 season, UEFA also made a fine of 500,000 euros. In addition, several players and officials of the club were sanctioned – including two lifelong locks.

The players Cetko Manojlovic, Dusan Puletic and Radule Zivkovic were each closed for ten years. The player Nikola Celebic and the club-official Ranko Krgovic are no longer allowed to perform football-related activities for life.

With the exclusion of Arsenal Tivat, the UEFA sets a clear sign in the fight against game manipulations.
