Mike Tullberg will turn back Borussia Dortmund – and has a new goal. The trainer is particularly remembered for a scene.
Borussia Dortmund’s U23 coach Mike Tullberg surprisingly leaves the club with immediate effect. This was reported on “Bild” and Sport1 on Friday. The 39-year-old will continue his coaching career abroad-BVB will in return get a transfer.
Tullberg worked for a total of four years at the U19 of the Dortmund before he took responsibility for the second team in the 2023/24 season. His contract with the black and yellow actually ran until 2028.
With the U19, Tullberg celebrated the win of the German Championship in 2022. Under his leadership, the Dortmund U23 is currently ninth in the Regionalliga West. According to information from Sport1, Tullberg will be on the sidelines again on Saturday in the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach II. However, it is still open whether it will stay – internally is obviously being considered about alternatives.
