Boxing fans had been looking forward to the rematch between Alexander Usyk and Tyson Fury for weeks. But there were some problems with the transmission.
Frustration among boxing fans all over the world: There were lengthy picture blackouts during the rematch between Alexander Usyk and Tyson Fury on Saturday evening. Some viewers reported that the streaming channel DAZN, which broadcast the fight exclusively, was missing some of the sound from the second round onwards. In the fourth and fifth rounds, some of them were no longer visible.
Other fans had problems right from the start. “Perfect, right after the walkout the stream suddenly hangs. Not enough money for decent servers?!” complained a fan on the portal X. “Will you give me my money back if I can’t watch the fight live, you thieves? ” asked another.
Given that the fight was broadcast as a pay-per-view event, the anger among viewers was even greater. In Germany, for example, DAZN subscribers had to pay 19.99 euros just to watch the fight. The stream problems not only existed in Germany, but also in other countries.
A viewer complained in English about the broadcast not working. “What rubbish is this? I’m missing the entire fight,” he wrote angrily.
