The 64th Grammy Awards took place last Sunday. The award for “Best Rap Album” of the year was presented to Tyler, The Creator.

Tyler, The Creator won the award for “Best Rap Album” with his album CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, beating out his opponents like J.Cole, Drake, Nas and Kanye West. However, the rapper was physically unable to accept the trophy. The 31-year-old is currently on tour with his new album. There was still an acceptance speech via Instagram.

As well as thanking his team and producer DJ Drama, the rapper couldn’t help but make a snide comment on DJ Khaled. Although he does not name the producer, it quickly becomes clear who his statement is about. Tyler, The Creator says, “I know you must be angry and like, oh nobody’s listening to this album! But sold-out arena tours speak a different language.”

Tyler, The Creator and DJ Khaled have been fighting since 2019. At the time, the producer didn’t want to see that his album FATHER OF ASAHD was at a disadvantage in the charts in a direct comparison. Tyler, The Creator’s album IGOR stormed the top of the charts and at the same time was able to achieve multiple gold and platinum awards in the USA and Great Britain. DJ Khaled labeled the album “mysterious nonsense” and allegedly even stormed the rapper’s office afterwards.
