In Paris, Fleur Jong was the fastest in the 100 meters. Young comes out in the T62 class (for athletes with a double amputation under the knee). In the Stade Charléty, the reigning Paralympic champion rushed with a slight headwind to a time of 12.31 seconds. “It went so automatically.”

Again Jong knows how to peak in Paris at the right time. In 2023 she grabbed the world title and in 2024 she became a Paralympic champion in the French capital. “Paris, Magic,” said Jong. In the longitudinal section and the 100 meter sprint, the para-athlete took the gold.

Second World Record

On the Golden Roof Challenge in Innsbruck, young flew to 6.86 meters. “It was really unexpected.” Young jumped no less than twelve centimeters further than her old world record from 2023. “It was quite exciting with the people close by.”
