The emergency services went to a house in Lindenlaan in Ostend around 4 p.m. A 75-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman appeared to be in life-threatening condition. The victims were taken to hospital in critical condition.
It is still unclear what happened in the home. The public prosecutor’s office has therefore started an investigation into the precise circumstances. In that context, a medical examiner was also appointed. According to public prosecutor’s office spokeswoman Griet De Perst, all possible avenues are still being investigated.
