The German national handball team has to accept the next personnel setbacks at the tournament in Slovakia and Hungary. On Friday evening there were further corona cases within the team.
Twelve DHB players had already failed during the tournament with corona infections, now two more players are added to the long list – and of all things before the next important group game against Sweden on Sunday. As the DHB announced on Saturday, Sebastian Firnhaber and Christoph Steinert tested positive on Friday evening. Accordingly, the CT values of the two players “to a low level of infectivity”, both would have already gone into isolation from the team.
