The Danish fashion label Ganni has its sights set on the French market: in the coming month, the brand intends to open its first two flagship stores in the country in the capital Paris. The first will be a shop in the Marais district (118 Rue Vieille Du Temple) on March 17th, followed by a second shop (1 Rue Du 29 Juillet, Saint-Honoré) a week later on March 24th.

“The store openings mark an important step in Ganni’s global expansion and a much-awaited event for the brand’s loyal community in France,” the clothing retailer said in a statement on Monday. So far, the label’s products are only available in France in its own online shop and from trading partners such as Le Bon Marché, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.

Explaining the background to the upcoming new store openings, CEO Andrea Baldo said: “France is a key market for Ganni and with Paris being recognized as one of the most important fashion capitals in the world, the opening of our first two standalone stores in the city is an important step for our brand presence.” him in a statement.

The label has “a loyal community in Paris” and has already made investments there in recent years, according to Baldo. For example, an office and a studio have been set up in Paris. The opening of the two stores “in such prominent locations” now offers “a great opportunity for us to strengthen the connections with our community”, explained the Ganni managing director.
