The DR Molise Group wants to grow with an enlarged range towards higher price ranges than the generalists DR and Evo. Expansion in the SUV, electric car and pickup sectors
Roots more and more rooted in the territory and an upward look for the DR Automobiles Group. The expansion strategy provides for a wider product offer, supported by the increase in the production capacity of the Molise plant in Macchia d’Isernia, technologically updated and expanded with a structure dedicated to electricity. The landing towards new market segments was entrusted to the newborn brands Sportequipe and Ickx, positioned above the generalists Evo and DR. The new DR Automobiles team is now ready to face the landing process on major European markets such as Spain, France and Germany. Sportequipe and Ickx will have their own dedicated sales network. Among the four, Evo is the entry-level brand, with models in a price range between 15,000 and 20,000 euros. It goes up to a maximum of 30,000 euros with DR, to move to the 30,000-40,000 range of Sportequipe, up to exceeding 50,000 euros of Ickx.

As per the initials, Sportequipe counts on an SUV and pick-up range aimed at sportsmen and those who love to travel. At the end of 2022 the range will be expanded by the electric city car Sportequipe 1, with a range of 250 km and the possibility of an extended range in case of need. The permanent magnet synchronous motor, called to move a mass limited to 1,050 kg, is capable of unleashing 45 kW / 61 Hp with a torque of 150 Nm and a maximum speed of 120 km. At Mimo 2022, on the other hand, the large SUV Sportequipe 7 was present, powered by a 160 HP 1.5 turbo petrol engine, with 6-speed double-clutch automatic transmission. The aggressive Ickx K2 is aimed at adventurers, the off-road that wants to take DR Automobiles to new and unexplored terrain. It is powered by a latest generation 162 HP 2.0 common-rail, combined with an 8-speed Dct automatic gearbox. It will also be available in the petrol / LPG version with a 2.0 turbo direct injection engine. It boasts a four-wheel drive system with reduced gears, thanks to an electronically switchable central gearbox. It also has a double differential, front and rear with electronic locking.
