The police have arrested four men and a minor boy for involvement in an assault last night in Assen. The incident happened near the Witterbrug on the Vaart Noordzijde.
The suspects are said to be responsible for assaulting two men. That happened around 3:30 am. Both victims were injured and taken to hospital for check-ups, a police spokesman said. One of the injured is a 27-year-old man from Zwolle, the identity of the other person is not yet known.
The five (27, 23, 22, 21 and 17 years old) from Assen are still stuck. The reason for the use of violence must become clear in the interrogations.
The police also arrested an 18-year-old man from Appelscha around the festivities of the TT Night. He ignored an order from officers to leave the place where he was staying. After several requests, the police made an arrest.
