Two dead calves were found this afternoon in the outskirts of Drijber. The animals were probably dumped, the Midden-Drenthe police reported on Facebook.
The calves were located on the Oostermaat, between Drijber, Pesse and Hoogeveen. Police suspect they were left there at least a week ago.
It is not known why the calves were dumped. The police are investigating.
