Two people were injured in an accident on the A50 near Hattem on Monday evening. The victims have been transferred to hospital. Both lanes and the exit lane are closed due to the accident. In the direction of Apeldoorn, there is a traffic jam of about two kilometers in connection with the accident, resulting in a delay of approximately 20 minutes.
In the accident, two vehicles ended up in the crash barrier. One of the occupants had to be freed by firefighters. The cause of the accident is unclear, this is being investigated by the Traffic Accident Analysis department.
Due to the accident and the recovery of the vehicles, lanes and the exit lane will be closed to traffic for some time. This results in traffic jams in the direction of Apeldoorn. According to Rijkswaterstaat, there is a traffic jam of about 2 kilometers with a delay of almost 20 minutes.
