The weather once again put the Southside Festival 2026 attendance to the test on Sunday. After heat and sunshine, dark clouds moved over Neuhausen ob Eck at midday, accompanied by heavy rain showers and a short thunderstorm. Unlike the evacuation on Friday, the festival was able to continue largely as planned.
Scene Queen opened the last day of the festival with unicorn-colored metalcore energy. On the Blue Stage, Natasha Bedingfield brought the audience into collective nostalgia with her noughties hits. The rain didn’t dampen the mood. In the afternoon the program became increasingly dense. Alexisonfire provided the heavier tones, while Kaffkiez and Kingfishr alternated between indie and big melodies. Nothing But Thieves then relied on pathos, precise tension and the powerful voice of Conor Mason.

Wonderfully otherworldly: Florence + The Machine
Florence + The Machine delivered one of the emotional highlights of the day. Florence Welch transformed the Blue Stage into an alternative to the otherwise rather massive line-up with sweeping gestures, anthemic songs and her wonderfully otherworldly stage presence.
After that it got loud again – and even a little sunny: Papa Roach made the Green Stage shake, while SSIO created a great atmosphere on the Red Stage. The mood that followed? A great treat for Finch, who ignited the final escalation stage on the Blue Stage. Twenty One Pilots should mark the official end of the weekend with a visual spectacle and an energetic set.
