The German national basketball team showed a good first half against Sweden. However, important information was not visible to the spectators.
In the second European Championship preliminary round of the German national basketball team against Sweden, there was a breakdown in TV broadcast. Both with RTL and Magenta Sport, the result display stopped for several minutes during the second quarter.
Although there were other points on the field, the graphic continued to show a score of 35:25. RTL commentator Frank Buschmann made the audience aware of the problem early on and regularly informed about the correct score.
When the display finally jumped to 45:31, it continued to work properly and only scored new points delayed. A few minutes later, the technical error was finally fixed and the transmission continued smoothly.
