Turnover catering industry grew in 2021, but remained below pre-corona level

The catering industry turned over more last year than a year ago, but the increase in turnover did not outweigh the loss in 2020. The catering industry also had to deal with strict lockdowns in 2021 and compared to the pre-corona year 2019, the revenues were still more than a quarter lower, reports the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS). The hospitality industry is one of the hardest hit sectors in the corona crisis.
