Turkey prohibits demonstrations in three largest cities after arrest mayor Istanbul

The authorities in the Turkish provinces of Ankara and Izmir have issued a demonstration ban until 25 March after the many demonstrations against the arrest of the mayor of Istanbul. He is a foreman of the opposition and political rival of the president. In Istanbul every demonstration was already forbidden until Sunday. The demonstration ban now applies in the three largest cities in the country.
