The GB Glacen Daim teat, which was already launched in 1987, is disappearing from the market, reported earlier this week in the Swedish TV4 and newspapers Expressen and Aftonbladet. The reason is the end of the contract with Mondelez Int Group, which owns the brand. Because of this, GB no longer has the right to manufacture and sell Daim pacifiers in the future.

Rumors about the disappearance of the treat from the freezer began to circulate in Sweden on Tuesday, but soon Daim’s friends, who were worried about the disappearance of their favorite ice cream, got relief. It was announced that the manufacturing license will be transferred to Triumf Glass.

– This year we are launching more ice cream novelties than ever before and we look forward to offering consumers fun, delicious and beloved flavors. In addition, ensuring the availability of Daim ice cream and the relaunch of Marabou chocolate covered ice cream will make 2026 a very exciting ice cream year, says Triumf Glass’ marketing manager Moa Frisk in the company’s announcement.

According to the announcement published today, Thursday, the new Daim tuuti has vanilla ice cream and Daim pieces and a crispy waffle cone. In addition, the tutti has a chocolate coating.

Iltalehti has so far been unable to reach a representative of Unilever, which has marketed GB’s Daim pacifier in Finland, to say whether the new pacifier will be sold in Finland.
