Tuchel to Liverpool FC? Former player warns

It is unclear what will happen next for Thomas Tuchel in the summer. According to reports, FC Bayern’s current coach could be drawn to the Premier League. Liverpool FC has also already been considered a possible new employer. An ex-player now warned the Reds about the coach.

According to the Telegraph, Thomas Tuchel is a candidate to succeed Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool FC. However, ex-player Danny Murphy doesn’t think much of the FC Bayern coach and warned his former club.

“He just doesn’t fit in,” Murphy said on “Talksport” and added: “He’s too divisive. He’s not a coach for Liverpool. Not for me.”

For the 46-year-old, Tuchel’s departure from FC Bayern is “no surprise”. Things haven’t been going well in Munich for a while now. “Let’s be honest, FC Bayern should have lost the title to Borussia Dortmund last season,” said Murphy, who played 249 games for Liverpool.

FC Bayern announced on Wednesday that the club and Thomas Tuchel would go their separate ways from the summer. “In an open, good conversation we came to the decision to mutually end our collaboration in the summer,” explained CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.

Not just at FC Bayern: Tuchel always has “problems”

Simon Jordan, former owner of Crystal Palace, is also critical of Tuchel. “He had the same challenges at PSG, he had problems there, then he came to Chelsea and after the change of ownership he has problems with other things than just football. Then he comes to Bayern Munich and we are where we are” , he said on “Talksport”.

Jordan understands that Chelsea FC parted ways with Tuchel early in 2022. “If you look at where Bayern Munich is, you might find answers to why Tuchel didn’t last at Chelsea,” said the businessman.
