After the transfers of Eroll Zejnullahu and Tarsis Bonga on Tuesday, third division club TSV 1860 Munich announced the next new signing for the 2023/24 season on Wednesday morning: attacking midfielder Manfred Starke is moving from league rival VfB Oldenburg to Grünwalder Straße and is coming, like the previous five “Lions” transfers, free transfer.

The seven-time national player for Namibia brings experience from a total of 237 third division games to the Bavarian capital. The 32-year-old has 30 goals and 36 assists to date. In the past season, the left-footed player scored six goals for Oldenburg, one of them against TSV 1860. Starke was trained at Hansa Rostock, where he also made the leap to professional status in 2011.

“I’m happy that I can play for TSV 1860 Munich in the future,” says Manfred Starke. “I immediately had a very positive feeling during the talks and really wanted to make the move to the lions. I’m now looking forward to the city, the club and the atmosphere at home games,” said the midfielder.
