Tsunami alarm in Frans Polynesia lifted, evacuated inhabitants on Galapagos Islands

For the east coast of Russia, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.8 was registered on Wednesday. Warnings and advice were given for tsunamis in Asia, Oceania, North America and South America. Part of it has since been withdrawn or scaled up. It is about the heaviest earthquake in the region since 1952 and the fourth most serious quake ever measured.
