TSG Hoffenheim – Andrej Kramaric: No winning goal, but contract extension

Sinsheim (dpa) – When his teammates were already on their way to the dressing room, Andrej Kramaric went back to the fans of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and clapped them. His name rang out in gratitude.

Immediately before the 1-1 Kraichgauer in the top Bundesliga game against FC Bayern, the club announced in the Sinsheim stadium that the Croatian runner-up from 2018 would extend his contract until 2025.

“I’ve enjoyed every moment here so far and I’m looking forward to an exciting future. I never expected to be one of the best strikers in Germany, but that’s only possible because I feel absolutely at home here,” stressed Kramaric . The family man lives in Heidelberg and is already a “living TSG legend” for Hoffenheim’s manager Alexander Rosen.

The clarification of Kramaric’s personnel – contrary to other contract extensions – dragged on. In the end, however, the 30-year-old decided not to sign his last major contract as a professional anywhere else. It would have been a perfect day for Hoffenheim’s record goalscorer (86 league goals) if he had used his chance to make it 2-1 just before the end. Then the fans wouldn’t have let him take a shower at all.
