Under the guidance of Steven Spielberg’s swirling direction, try to take me (Catch Me If you can) surprised the world.

In 2012, after almost 10 years and some preview, the story of Frank Abagnale Junior landed in Broadway with Aaron Tveit, Norbert Leo Butz and Tom Wopat.
The story of the young scammer, arrested by the FBI agent (and then friend) Carl Hanratty, was taken and adapted for the theater thanks to the skill of the most illustrious American composers and writers: Terence McNally (The Full Monty, Anastasia, Kiss of the Spider Woman and many others) to the booklet and Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Oscar candidates and winners of Tony Awards, Grammy, Olvier Awards for Hairspray, Smash, the return of Mary Poppins and many others) for texts and music.

Alessandro Longobardi, for Viola Produzioni – Theater production center, is pleased to announce this absolute preview for Italy, in accordance with Music Theater International.

To give voice and body to the big screen stars, there will be Claudio Castrogiovanni who will play Carl Hanratty (role that was at Tom Hanks’ cinema), Tommaso Cassissa in the chameleonic role of Frank Abagnale Junior (played by Leonardo Di Caprio) and Simone Montedoro will be Father Frank Abagnale Senior (role chiseled by Oscar winner Christopher Walken).
Claudio Castrogiovanni returns to the musical, his first great love, without ever abandoning cinema and television series so loved as the head of the heads, Vanina, the team, the young Montalbano, the silence of the water, a doctor in the family and many others .
For Tommaso Cassissa, however, it is an absolute debut in the world of musical. The young social star (only on Tiktok, with the name of @Tommycassi, He exceeded 2 and a half million followers!) has certainly not been stopped in these years between cinema, books and television, until his last participation in the Lol 5 cult program.

Even for Simone Montedoro we are at absolute debut in a musical. Historical face of Italian TV (for almost ten years he was Commissioner Tommasi in one of the most loved series of Rai “Don Matteo”) with incursions also in the world of dance (semi -finalist of Dancing with the stars) and of the singing (such and which show with Carlo Conti), he has shown that he knows how to move with great skill in all the facets of his profession, from the theater, which marked the beginning of his career, to the cinema, to TV.

The adaptation and direction of the show were entrusted to Piero di Blasio (everyone talks about Jamie, the little shop of the horrors and many others); Rita Pivano (Rapunzel, Sister Act, Peter Pan, the icy queen and many others) will take care of the choreography on the original music of the fabulous American 1960s played live.
The musical direction is in the skilled hands of a veteran of the musical in Italy, Maestro Angelo Racz (Kinky Boots, Hairspray, Spamalot, Saturday evening fever and many others) who will direct a splendid jazz/swing orchestra live.

Francesca Grossi (Rapunzel the musical, add a place at the table, everyone talks about Jamie the musical, the queen of ice The musical) draws the wonderful costumes made by the branch of Brancaccio. The scenography are signed by Gabriele Moreschi (add a place at the table, Sister Act the musical, and if time was a shrimp, Grease and many others).

Now all that remains is to find out how a true story, made famous by a film, told by TV in Technicolor, can return real to the theater and entertain and a little moved all the spectators, from the biggest to the little ones.
