Travis Scott’s first live performance since Astroworld tragedy

The videos from the November 2021 Astroworld festival were shocking. A stampede broke out during a performance by Travis Scott, killing ten people. More than 4000 were injured. In the months that followed, countless lawsuits were filed against the musician.

Now Scott reported back live. He performed at the Rolling Loud hip-hop festival on July 23 and sang several songs.

Travis Scott was not alone on stage. He sang “Hold That Heat” – the first track he released after the Astroworld tragedy – and “March Madness” with Future. After that he performed his hits “Antidote”, “No Bystanders” and “Goosebumps”. Here is a video of the entire performance.

The rapper will also headline the Primavera Sounds Festival in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Santiago de Chile in November.

Coming to terms with the Astroworld tragedy

Off the stage, things are less rosy for Travis Scott. The mass panic during his performance in November 2021 has not yet been legally processed. In total, there are more than 380 individual lawsuits from almost 2,800 alleged victims against Scott and the organizers. In addition to the ten fatalities, 732 people are said to have sustained physical injuries and required extensive medical treatment.
