Do you regularly travel by train from Zoetermeer, via The Hague Central, to Delft or Rotterdam Central? ProRail performs work on the tracks from Wednesday 12 to Thursday 27 March At Schiedam Centrum station. In the coming weeks there will therefore be fewer and sometimes not even trains between The Hague and Rotterdam at all.

In 2025, ProRail works a lot on the track between Rotterdam and The Hague, therefore trains are not running once in a while, a different route or buses are used.
No or fewer trains
From Wednesday 12 March to Thursday 27 March, work will be done on the tracks between Delft Campus and Rotterdam Central Station. As a result, the ten -minute sprinter of NS between Dordrecht, Rotterdam and The Hague Central also stops in Schiedam.

The work is carried out in phases. Below you can see an overview:
- Wednesday 12 to Friday 14 March: No train traffic between Rotterdam Central and Delft Campus
- Saturday, March 15: No train traffic to and from Rotterdam Central
- Sunday, March 16 to 6 pm: much less train traffic to and from Rotterdam Central
- Sunday March 16 after 6 pm: no train traffic between Rotterdam Central and Delft Campus
- Monday 17 to Thursday 27 March: No train traffic between Rotterdam Central and Delft Campus

NS uses buses and travelers between Rotterdam and The Hague can travel via Gouda. From Gouda you take the train to Zoetermeer. You can use the metro between Rotterdam Blaak and Schiedam Centrum. Sprinters are driving to The Hague Central from Delft Campus. NS warns of extra crowds and advice from traveling outside rush hour and shortly before departure the NS Reisplanner to check.
From Zoetermeer you can also travel with tram 3, 4 or 34 to Leidschenveen station. There you grab the metro line E Slinge to reach Rotterdam Central. For this option it is best to choose outside rush hour because it can be very busy in the metro.
