A 62-year-old man from Oosterhout was arrested on Tuesday afternoon for stealing 21 campers, a jet ski, a boat and two shovels from a shed in Breda. The police tracked the suspect with a tracker. According to the police, this is ‘a first suspect’.

The feed and vessels have disappeared on carnival Saturday March 1st ‘under suspicious circumstances’ from a parking facility on Liesstraat. “The criminal investigation faced a major challenge, since even the camera systems were stolen,” the police report.

After extensive investigation, the police tracked a suspect with the help of a tracker. “This small device was hidden in one of the stolen campers. It can be used to trace lost things, such as keys or in this case a camper.”

Video images of people from the area showed earlier that the thieves have visited at least three times: on Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

“I haven’t seen the images myself yet, but that is what I have been told,” says the owner of the storage. “My neighbors live right opposite the shed and were present in the living room during one of the times. But unfortunately they didn’t see anything.”
