Transitioned? Amon-Ra St. Brown is angry

The NFL has released the rosters for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games. Not there: German NFL star Amon-Ra St. Brown. The receiver doesn’t like that at all.

One week before the Super Bowl, the NFL world meets in Orlando for the Pro Bowl Games. Since Thursday it has been clear who made it into the squads of the two conferences.

However, the name Amon-Ra St. Brown cannot be found on the NFC wide receiver list. CeeDee Lamb (Dallas), Mike Evans (Tampa Bay), AJ Brown (Philadelphia) and sensational rookie Puka Nacua (Los Angeles Rams) are there.

After team training on Thursday, the German-American was not very enthusiastic about the decision in front of reporters. The Lions professional admitted that he was annoyed about not being named to the NFC Pro Bowl squad.

“The receivers that were selected are great players, but I was hot,” St. Brown said.

The 24-year-old is a key performer for the Lions, who won the division title for the first time since 1993.

NFL: St. Brown puts up top values - but still not there

St. Brown is having his best season of his career so far. His eight games with at least 100 yards put him in the top three in the league – alongside Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb. St. Browns has 112 receptions for 1,371 yards and 10 touchdowns. Numbers that definitely justify a Pro Bowl selection.

The Lions star now draws motivation from not being nominated. “Obviously I didn’t do enough during the season. So I have to play even harder,” the receiver explained.

However, it is still quite possible that St. Brown will be called up – if he doesn’t have a Super Bowl run with the Lions. Last year he replaced AJ Brown, who reached the Super Bowl with the Eagles. Still, St. Brown thinks he should have been in the Pro Bowl as the first choice. “Yeah, I still have to try harder,” St. Brown said.

Fans, players and coaches voted in the All-Star election. A total of 88 professionals are chosen. For each conference, 21 professionals for offense, 18 for defense and 5 for special teams.
