The transfer poker around Benjamin Pavard is coming to an end. The Frenchman is reportedly close to signing with a top Italian club.
According to media reports, Benjamin Pavard’s move from FC Bayern to Inter Milan is imminent. As reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Italian “Gazzetta dello Sport” and the TV station “Sky”, Munich is said to have given the French a change release.
Accordingly, the 2018 world champion should fly to Italy on Tuesday, and the medical check is planned for Wednesday. There is a fee of around 30 million euros in the room.
The Italians had previously increased the pressure and allegedly set a deadline for the German record champions. Inter are said to have insisted on a decision by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the media reported. Otherwise Inter would have looked around for alternatives on the market.
Chelsea’s Chalobah as a replacement?
Pavard, who can be used both as a central defender and as a right-wing defender, has been pushing for a change for weeks. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen was confident on Monday that a solution would be found by the end of the transfer period this Friday and “close the issue”.
