First relegation, then second division bottom – and now probably the next low blow on the transfer market for Hertha BSC!

According to BZ information, desired player Diego Demme (31/Naples) wants to cancel Hertha on Thursday afternoon, so he will not switch to Berlin. The club and the midfielder, as well as one-time internationals, had been in talks for weeks. Apparently without success!

One reason: the poor start to the season (zero points and zero goals after three games) in Berlin is said to have persuaded Demme not to want to move to the capital. Demme should become a key figure for Hertha, bringing structure and order to the defensively vulnerable team.

But this task is more like a suicide mission – which the ex-Leipziger apparently does not want to do.

There should be a final conversation with Hertha on Thursday afternoon. According to BZ information, the capital club is no longer optimistic that the hoped-for change will take place.

What’s going on with Demme now? The midfielder has a contract in Naples until 2024. Nevertheless, there could still be a change by September 1st.

Several Italian clubs are interested in him.
