Transfer hammer? FC Bayern is probably working on Boateng’s return

Jérôme Boateng was recently linked with a commitment to Real Madrid. But now FC Bayern is apparently working on a spectacular return campaign.

As “Sky” reports, the Munich team wants to bring Boateng back to Säbener Straße. Accordingly, the bosses are already working on the return of the long-time professional. Discussions are said to have already taken place.

However, the comeback is not yet dry. Although Boateng is fit and feels ready to be back on the pitch in the Bundesliga, further details will be clarified on Sunday.

The “kicker” also reports on FC Bayern’s interest.

Boateng has been without a club since the summer

Boateng was under contract with Olympique Lyon until the summer, but the 35-year-old has been without a club since then. He moved to the French from FC Bayern in 2021.

The portal “El Nacional” recently reported that Boateng had offered himself to Real Madrid. The defender told club boss Florentino Pérez in a phone call that he would like to play for the Royals. Apparently the 2014 world champion is even prepared to play for the star ensemble from the Spanish capital for almost nothing.

Boateng has already responded to the wild speculation. “I didn’t know that, interesting,” he commented briefly in his Instagram story on Friday.

Boateng had his most successful time in professional football at FC Bayern. The central defender played for Munich between 2011 and 2021 and played 363 competitive games during this period. In 2013 and 2020, the Berlin native celebrated winning the triple, consisting of the championship, DFB Cup and Champions League.

With Matthijs de Ligt, Dayot Upamecano and Min-jae Kim, FC Bayern is thinly staffed in central defense. Benjamin Pavard (Inter) and Lucas Hernández (Paris Saint-Germain) left the record champions in the summer.
