Tim Tramnitz from Hamburg has initially lost his second place in the overall classification of Formula 3. In the sprint on the eighth race weekend of the season, the Red Bull Junior only finished 13th in his racing car from MP Motorsport and stayed without points.
Bulgarian Nikola Tsolov collected fourth points and therefore pulled past Tramnitz.
The Dane Noah Stromsted (Trident) celebrated the victory in the Ardennes on Saturday morning – it was his first in the youth series. The podium complete Ugo Ugo Ugo (USA/Prema) and Charlie Wurz Austria/Trident), son of the former Formula 1 pilot Alexander Wurz. In the overall ranking, his teammate Rafael Camara (Brazil), who became fifth, leads with 126 points ahead of Tsolov (98) and Tramnitz (93).
The 20 -year -old Tramnitz had started from 13th place, but could not work forward. At the top, Pole man Freddie Slater (Great Britain/Hitech) lost the lead in the third round to Stromsted, who no longer gave her until the end. The main race (8.30 a.m./Sky) will take place on Sunday.
