In general, there are numerous tasks waiting for Lukas Kwasniok and his teams on the Costa Blanca. After six Bundesliga games in a row without a win, the billy goats have to address, among other things, their standard weakness and the lack of balance between offense and defense. It is also important to introduce the talent to the professional sector and to withdraw for individual discussions.
Sports director Thomas Kessler, who traveled with the team, is currently working from La Nucia on the desired transfers for the central defense. The FC has already reached agreements with several candidates – but not yet with the potentially selling clubs. It remains to be seen whether a new addition will join the team in Spain.
The return journey next Friday will take two planes and two different destinations. Only those players who do not make it into the squad for the first Bundesliga game of the new year, on January 10th in Heidenheim, will fly to Cologne. The 20 players that Kwasniok nominated for the squad, as well as those responsible, travel directly to the away game. From Alicante we go to Memmingen in Bavaria, and from there to Heidenheim, just under 100 kilometers away.
