After the end of Jan Zimmermann, U19 boss Mike Tullberg was promoted to the U23 in the season finale. The Dane will also keep this post after relegation. A successor to the A-youth is now supposedly on a hint.

According to agreed media reports, Borussia Dortmund is in conversations with Felix Hirschnagl. First the “Munich Mercury” reported about it.

The 40-year-old is currently still working in the renowned young talent from 1860 Munich, which has already produced many Bundesliga players. His contract apparently expires there at the end of June.

The “Ruhr Nachrichten”, which is usually well informed, write that “targeted conversations” run between Hirschnagl and BVB. A decision is expected promptly.

The youth coach already has the necessary UEFA A license to take over the BVB-U19.

Tullberg descends with BVB II into the regional league

According to “Ruhr Nachrichten”, it should quickly be integrated into important decisions in the youngsters of the Borussia, if he starts the new task.

As part of the search, the BVB allegedly committed itself to an external solution at an early stage. A promotion of U17 coach Karsten Gorges or U16 coach Marco Lehmann was therefore out of the question. However, the two trainers exchange their roles on July 1st.

The vacancy in the U19 area of ​​Borussia Dortmund had arisen because Mike Tullberg had to help out in the second team at short notice. BVB already announced in spring that Tullberg will take over the U23 in summer.
