Tim Torn Teutenberg from Cologne won his second gold medal at the European Bahn bike championships in Heusden-Zolder. After his success at the start of the title fights in excretion, the 22-year-old prevailed in the Omnium.

Teutenberg, who has been under contract with the World Tour team Lidl Trek since this year, initially dominated the four-way fight from Scratch, tempo rounds and excretion and defended his leadership in the final point. Teutenberg won with 167 points ahead of Niklas Larsen from Denmark (165) and Philip Heijnen from Belgium (147).

Teutenberg, together with Roger Kluge (Ludwigsfelde), has a third gold chance in Madison together with Roger Kluge (Ludwigsfelde). Both are world champions in this discipline.

Bronze by Schneider and Kröger

Bronze by Schneider and Kröger Clara Schneider from Cottbus secured the bronze medal in the time trial over 1000 meters. Another bronze medal went to Mieke Kröger from Hürth in the 4000-meter tracking. The European champion of 2022 prevailed in a German-German duel against Lisa Klein (Oberried). Together, Kröger and Klein had already won silver in the team tracking on Thursday. The British world champion Anna Morris secured the European champion title in a world record time ahead of Vittoria Guazzini from Italy. In the tracking, the distance between women has also been adapted to the men’s competition since this year.
