A train rammed a car on a railway crossing in Boxtel on Friday evening. The occupants of the car were miraculously not injured in the accident. The driver of the car would have been under the influence.

The train and car collided around a quarter past nine. The emergency services pulled out in a big way with several ambulances, fire trucks and a trauma helicopter was called up. The two occupants of the car managed to get out of the car before the collision, so they were not injured.

Under the influence
How the car came to a halt is not clear. According to the police, the driver of the car would have been under the influence. The director was taken to the police station for further investigation.

The passengers who were on the train will be evacuated on Friday evening. The car must be removed from the track. It is not yet clear whether there will be trains between Eindhoven and Den Bosch on Friday evening.

There will be no trains between Den Bosch and Boxtel and Den Bosch and Tilburg from Saturday at all due to work on the track at Vught.
