Trae Young and Scottie Barnes were included in the NBA All-Star game squad – Last minute NBA news

Trae Young and Scottie Barnes were included in the squad for the American Basketball League (NBA) 2024 All-Star game.

According to the statement made by the NBA, Joel Embiid, who was selected in the top 5 of the Eastern Conference team, and Julius Randle, who was among the reserves, were removed from the squad due to their injuries.

Instead of the two players, Toronto Raptors forward Barnes and Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young were included in the squad.

It was announced that Philadelphia 76ers’ center Embiid, who had meniscus surgery, would be away from the court for at least 4 weeks, and New York Knicks’ forward Randle, whose right shoulder was dislocated, would be away from the court for 2-3 weeks.

The 73rd NBA All-Star game will be played on February 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, USA.
