Keeper Lassi Lehtinen will move to Turku Palloseura with a comprehensive agreement next season.

23-year-old Lehtinen was eliminated for Rauma Luko’s championship in the second season, and he was chosen as the best goalkeeper in the Finnish Champions League in the same season.

Last season, however, Lehtinen was weak, with his defense percentage in the regular season below 90.

– Lassi was a clear and absolute number one choice for us when the acquisition of a goalkeeper became topical for us. We were lucky that a goalkeeper at this level was still in the free market, the goalkeeper coach said in a TPS press release. Ari Moisanen and sports director Rauli Urama.

TPS needed a new number one guard when Andrei Karejev returned to Russia.

– It’s really great to get into TPS’s environment and Ari Moisanen’s coaching. I want to develop as a goalkeeper and TPS seemed to me to be the best option, Lehtinen commented.
