Henning improves, Carl falls behind

In a hard-fought final sprint, Kertuu Niskanen and Rosie Brennan were able to pull away. The Finn was ahead at the finish after 1:12:00.70 hours. She won ahead of Brennan from the USA (+0.8 seconds). Third came Jessie Diggins, who was able to further extend her lead in the Tour de Ski overall rankings (8.7 s).

Hennig manages to catch up

The German starters had to make up a lot of ground in difficult conditions due to heavy snowfall. Victoria Carl started the race in twelfth place, 59 seconds behind. Krehl was 16th at the start and Katharina Hennig also needed to catch up in her favorite discipline.

And that should succeed. The 27-year-old, who lives in the Allgäu, remained in the leading group throughout the entire race, but she had nothing to do with the podium places. Hennig crossed the finish line in ninth place (+15.2 s). Victoria Carl had to drop out and found herself in 35th place. In the end it was only enough for 31st place (+1:00.50 minutes). This means she slips to eighth place in the overall ranking.

Lohmann with the best World Cup result

Lisa Lohmann was surprisingly strong. The 23-year-old even overtook Hennig at one point and just missed the top ten. She ended up in 18th place (+24.8 s). Coletta Rydzek was 38th (+1:44.50 m). Sofie Krehl did not take part due to cold symptoms. She has already dropped out of the tour.
