The Dutch leader of the French FDJ-Suez probably sustained a concussion after a fall, just before the finish of the third stage that ended in Angers on Monday afternoon. A second opinion should show or continue cycling on Tuesday morning, yes or no.

Immediately after her fall, follow -up was brought after the hospital of Angers for further investigation. In the hospital it was confirmed what was already suspected: several bruises all over the body. “She has pain in her back, knee and hip,” said FDJ-Suez team boss Stephen Delcourt after the chaotic arrival.

Further tests will be performed tomorrow morning, including a second concussion protocol, to exclude any suspicion. These results enable Demi and the team to confirm whether she will appear at the start tomorrow for the fourth stage of the Tour de France.
